Meet Our Pathologists
Jagmohan S. Sidhu, M.D.
medical director of Centrex Clinical Laboratories, oversees all of the pathology
services for the company. He received a medical degree from Punjabi
University in Patiala, India and serves as a clinical professor at Upstate
Medical University at Syracuse. He did his residency in clinical and anatomic
pathology at NY Medical College Valhalla, Mount Sinai Hospital New York and
University of Texas at Galveston. He also did a fellowship in Hematopathology at
SUNY Upstate Medical University at Syracuse. Dr. Sidhu has received several
awards and recognitions including recognition in a book publishing contest held
by Harvard Medical School. He has been a nominee for "The Doctors of Excellence"
twice in recent years during his directorship of the Department of Pathology and
Laboratory Medicine at United Health Services Hospitals. Dr. Sidhu is a member
of numerous medical societies and hospital committees.
Lester
D. Manzano, M.D.
iis the medical director and chairman of the Department of Pathology of
Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. Dr. Manzano received a bachelor's degree in
Biology from the University of Toledo in Ohio and attended the American
University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Plymouth, Montserrat, in the
West Indies. Dr. Manzano completed his Pathology training at Brown University in
Providence, Rhode Island, followed by a Hematopathology Fellowship at Ball
Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. He is a member of several professional
societies including the Central New York Academy of Medicine and the College of
American Pathologists.
Mustafa
Kaakour, M.D.
is pathologist and director of Centrex Cytopathology and Faxton-St. Luke's
Healthcare Point of Care Ancillary Testing Sites. Dr. Kaakour received a
bachelor's degree in Biology-Chemistry and his medical degree from the American
University of Beirut (AUB) and was a resident in Pathology for three years at
the AUB Medical Center. He interned at Methodist Hospitals of Dallas and was a
resident in Pathology at Methodist Hospital of Dallas and later at New York
University Medical Center. Dr. Kaakour assisted in teaching pathology lab
sessions to second year medical students at NYU Medical Center. Dr. Kaakour is a
member of several medical societies and professional associations.
Balshik Min,
M.D.
is the laboratory medical director for Lewis County General Hospital. Dr. Min
received his medical degree from Seoul National University's College of Medicine
in South Korea. He completed his residency in Pathology at Harlem Hospital
Center in New York and Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. Dr. Min has more than 30 years of pathology experience with Centrex Clinical
Laboratories, Inc. and has served as laboratory medical director for Centrex
Clinical Laboratories, Faxton Hospital and Rome Memorial Hospital in the past.
He is a member of several professional societies including the American Medical
Association and the College of American Pathologists.
Robert R.
Coffin, M.D.
assistant director of Pathology and medical director of Little Falls Hospital
Lab, received a bachelor's degree in Biology at Seattle Pacific and his medical
degree from the University of Washington Medical School. Dr. Coffin interned at
University Hospital in Seattle, Washington and completed a fellowship at
Children's Hospital. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the
American Society for Clinical Pathology.
Christian N.
Ezidiegwu, M.D.
is an associate pathologist and medical director of Rome Memorial Hospital Lab.
Dr. Ezidiegwu has worked as an independent consultant/clinical assistant
professor in the Department of Pathology at SUNY Upstate Medical University in
Syracuse. Dr. Ezidiegwu graduated from the Enugu Campus of the University of
Nigeria. After completing an internship in Medicine and Surgery at the
University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, he went on as a trainee in
Histopathology at Southampton University Hospital and the Royal London Hospitals
of St. Batholomew's Hospital, the Royal London Hospital and St. Mark's Hospital
in the United Kingdom. Following that, he was a clinical lecturer at Queen Mary
and Westfield College at the University of London. He is a Fellow of the Royal
College of Pathologists, United Kingdom, International Academy of
Cytopathologists, European Board of Pathologists and, in the USA, a Fellow of
the College of American Pathologists. He is board certified in Anatomic,
Clinical Pathology, Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine. Professional
interests are in breast, gynecologic neoplastic and molecular pathology, general
cytopathology, transfusion and transplant medicine.
Shridevi Karikehalli, M.D.
iis an associate pathologist and hematopathologist
with Centrex Clinical Laboratories. Dr. Karikehalli received a M.B.B.S degree at
Government Medical College in Miraj, India followed by a diploma in Clinical
Pathology. Dr. Karikehalli was a resident pathologist at Louisiana State
University Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana and at Albany Medical Center.
She was a Fellow in Hematopathology at Albany Medical Center, New York and a
Cytopathology Fellow at Hartford Hospital, Connecticut. She is board certified
in Hematopathology and Cytopathology. Dr. Karikehalli is a member of several
professional organizations including the International Academy of Pathology and
the American Society of Hematology.
Lihong Xia, MD
completed her medical education at Tongji Medical University in
China and served as a faculty pathologist in Jinan University School of Medicine
in China. Dr. Xia worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Columbia University and
Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Dr. Xia completed her residency training and
Cytopathology Fellowship at Hartford Hospital, Connecticut. She is board
certified in Cytopathology and Anatomic/Clinical Pathology.
